Chainsaws and Blood?

Well it’s Friday the 13th, the unlucky day.  Here is something weird I found on wikipedia

“In numerology, the number twelve is considered the number of completeness, as reflected in the twelve months of the year, twelve hours of the clock, twelve gods of Olympus, twelve tribes of Israel, twelve Apostles of Jesus, the 12 successors of Muhammad in Shia Islam, etc., whereas the number thirteen was considered irregular, transgressing this completeness. There is also a superstition, thought by some to derive from the Last Supper or a Norse myth, that having thirteen people seated at a table will result in the death of one of the diners.”

When I think of Friday the 13th, I think of scary movies in particular the Friday the 13th franchise.

This week I let you guys in on another secret of mine.  I have a non-profit by the name of Uplifting Sisters.  The vision is completely my wifes but, if she’s behind something I’m behind it.

This weekend (4/14/2012) we have our Prom Dreams Event in D.C.  We will be at the following location from 10am – 5pm:  The Logos Building, 1516 K Street, SE, Washington DC

Prom Dreams is an annual Uplifting Sisters event that allows the dreams of young women in inner cities to come true by attending their high school prom. This event empowers young women to dream big while reinforcing the message that their dreams can come true. Each year we collect hundreds of dresses and host an event where these special young ladies are able to be queen for a day. The young ladies throughout the community are able to come view our selection of dresses, shoes, and accessories and choose the perfect combination. In addition to finding the perfect ensemble, some of the young ladies will have the opportunity to get their hair and make up done on prom night for free by local stylists.
