YFSCREDIT.COM – Day 1: Keeping it Real!

Welcome to day 1 of the YFScredit.com – How To Fix Your Credit Challenge.

The goal of this FREE challenge is to show you how to understand, improve and protect your credit in just 14 days (or less than 6 hours).

You, your accountability partner and I will complete step by step exercises to make progress towards your credit goals.

Did you know this entire challenge is just one portion of my How To Fix Your Credit – DIY Program? Yup! I’m going to show you what’s possible if you had the right information!

The good news is we start right where you are and work to where you want to be!

However, let’s be real for a second!

Nobody wakes up one day out of the blue and says…

“Today is the day I improve my credit!”

You know what I think of when I wake up out of the blue?

“Damn I’m hungry!”

So that’s why I titled this lesson “Keeping it real!”

Listen, you are going to your job for a specific end goal.

You’re going to the gym for a specific end goal, and you’re fixing your credit and wanting to improve your finances for a particular end goal.

That’s what we need to figure out! What is your specific end goal?

We need to figure out your why!

We need to figure out, what you’re willing to put in all of this work to get.

We also need to figure what you’re willing to sacrifice to make your goals a reality.

So, we are going to do a little exercise, and I want you to be 100% honest.

Your goals are what’s going to keep you motivated during and well after this challenge.

I’ll go first! One of the reasons why I wanted to improve my credit was to own a home.

I set a deadline for getting this done in 1 year and it was because  I was tired of renting and not being a homeowner.

In my area, renting was essentially burning money since renting was more than owning.

You see your end goal is why you’re doing this and can’t be something vague like “improve my credit.”

Goals like “Improve my credit” is not going to be enough to motivate you to keep working on your goals.

Another reason why I wanted to improve my credit was that I wanted to start my own business so that I could control my time and build wealth.

At the time we just had our little natural aka Olivia and the thought of not being able to spend as much time as SHE needed with her was unthinkable.

So building a business around my passions that would solve my time and money requirements was a high priority.

Your credit is critical and we’ll get into why in the next lesson, but if I wanted to stop working for someone else and not only start a business but stay in business, I needed to have a firm grasps on budgeting and credit.

I also needed a good credit score just in case I needed to take out a loan for my business!

Ok. I can go on and on about my goals, but what about your goals?

Listen, it’s ok if you keep adding goals later or even if your goals change, but I want you to write down at least three goals that are related to improving your credit.

The crazy thing is this, by having specific end goals I was more than willing to put in the work to achieve those goals.

By having specific end goals, I was able to measure my progress in reaching those goals which motivated me to work even harder during the process.

By having specific ending goals I not only ended up accomplishing everything that I set out to do, but I did it six months earlier than I originally planned.

It all started with a vision and crafting a game plan to make that vision a reality, then working the game plan to obtain my vision.

Now to make this easy for you. I created a goal sheet to help you create your S.M.A.R.T goals.

For those of you who do not know, A S.M.A.R.T goal means that our goals must be:

SPECIFIC

Measurable

Achievable

Realistic

Timebound

I break it all down into a free goal sheet for you. (click the button below to get the goal sheet)

Once you take some time to create your goals I want you to share them in our very on facebook accountability group.

You can find the group by clicking the button below or by searching Facebook for “Wealth Builders: YourFinancesSimplified.

I want you to share your goals with your challenge family (in the facebook group), your immediate family and your accountability partner.

We are all in this together and will support each other as a team as we work for what we ultimately want.

You’ll be surprised how easy it is to reach your goals when you share them with others.

You will get cheered on, and supported in ways you couldn’t imagine because people want to see you win.

Do you still need an accountability partner? Just come into the facebook group and ask someone! We are family now.

Once again, you can find the group by clicking the button within this post – or by searching Facebook for “Wealth Builders: YourFinancesSimplified.”

There are tons of wealth builders ready to help you achieve your goals inside the group.
